GLOSSARY · GAME-SERVER SLANG

Powergaming

Forcing in-character outcomes without giving the other player a chance to react. Includes /me actions that bypass dice rolls, declared invulnerability, and overpowered abilities not supported by the game world.

Powergaming covers a spread of behaviours: writing a /me that lands a hit without a fight, claiming hyper-realistic abilities for your character without the in-game capabilities, or refusing to acknowledge another player's actions. It is closer to fail-RP than to RDM in moderation queue size: many small instances rather than a few dramatic ones. Communities usually track it through warn-thresholds: w1 / w2 / w3 escalation rather than immediate bans.
